Step 2 – AI Discovery Checklist
Before you begin – read this first
If your website was created by a professional web developer or agency, your Google and Bing verification codes may already be installed in your website’s header. In that case, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools should verify your site automatically when you add your domain and click their verification buttons — no extra coding required.
Start by opening the links for Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools below, add your website URL and follow the prompts. If verification succeeds right away and your AI coverage lights turn green, you do not need to read the full tutorial on this page.
If verification fails, it usually means your web developer did not add the required meta tags. In that case, contact your developer and ask them to add the Google site verification meta tag and the Bing msvalidate meta tag into your website’s HEADER. After they do this, return here and try verification again — it should then pass automatically.

Important: Verification Is Only the 1st Step — This Platform Does The Rest
Google and Bing verification does NOT make your business visible to AI. It only confirms ownership. AI systems still have no idea what your business does, what you offer, or why you matter.
This is why you MUST continue the process inside AI Business Launcher. Our platform performs everything that comes AFTER verification — the part that actually launches your business into AI:
- Building AI-readable business profiles
- Structuring information for Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot and more
- Creating public AI signals connected to your website
- Ensuring your business appears inside AI-powered answers
Verification alone is useless for AI visibility — you must follow the AI Business Launcher steps to become discoverable.
Important note: We are proud to give you a guided, almost fully automated setup. However, for security reasons Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools do not allow any external platform (including AI Business Launcher) to verify your website on your behalf. This is the only step that must be completed manually by you or your web developer. Once it is done, the rest of the AI discovery status updates automatically.
This page is for the real submission work: helping Google, Bing and social platforms discover your business so that AI systems can learn about you. There is no hidden “upload my business to AI” button anywhere on the internet. Every platform below ultimately learns from:
- your public AI Business Launcher directory page
- your public AI-optimised profile
- your own website and public links (social media, partners)
First, complete the Core verification hubs below (Google, Bing, Meta). Then look at the AI platforms coverage list to see which AI systems are effectively able to see your business.
Use this checklist together with your public URLs:

Tick these once you have followed the simple steps. These checkboxes are only for your own tracking and are stored in your browser (localStorage). They do not send data to Google, Bing or Meta.
Google Search Console (Google / Gemini)
Open Google Search ConsoleThis is the main place to tell Google (and Google Gemini) about your website and AI Business Launcher pages.
- If a professional web developer built your site, try verifying first without changing anything. In many cases, the Google verification code is already installed.
- In Search Console, add your property (domain or URL prefix) and follow the prompts. If Google verifies your site immediately, you can skip the detailed steps below.
- If verification fails and you are comfortable editing your site, click the three-lines menu (top left) and choose your website property (for example: loseweighttoday.com.au).
- Click “Sitemaps”, type sitemap.xml, and press Submit.
- Open “URL Inspection”, paste your AI Business Directory page URL, and click “Request indexing”. Repeat for your AI-optimised profile and your main website homepage.
Bing Webmaster Tools (Microsoft / Copilot)
Open Bing Webmaster ToolsBing powers Microsoft Copilot. Verifying here helps Copilot and other Bing-based systems see your business.
- If a professional web developer built your site, try verifying first. In many cases the Bing verification meta tag or DNS record is already set up.
- Sign in and add your website if you have not added it yet. Follow the prompts to verify. If it passes immediately, you can skip the detailed steps.
- If verification fails and you manage your own site, click the three-lines menu (top left), select your site, then open “Sitemaps”. Add https://YOURDOMAIN/sitemap.xml (replace YOURDOMAIN with your real domain) and press Submit.
- If Bing asks for an HTML meta tag, copy the msvalidate meta tag it provides and paste it into your website’s HEADER (for example using Code Injection on Squarespace, or header scripts on other platforms), then click Verify again.
- Once verification passes, submit or inspect your AI Business Directory page, AI-optimised profile and main website homepage so Bing can index them.
Meta Business (Facebook / Instagram / Meta AI)
Open Meta Business HelpMeta AI learns a lot from Facebook and Instagram business pages plus the public web.
- Make sure you have a Facebook Page and/or Instagram business profile for your business.
- Fill in all details: profile image, description, contact info, opening hours where relevant.
- Add links to your AI Business Launcher profile and your website in your bio and posts.
- Post occasionally with links back to your main website and AI profile to create strong public signals.

Why “Soon”? Your AI profile and directory page are brand new. Google and Bing need 24–72 hours to fully crawl and index them. Once that happens, AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude begin surfacing your business automatically.
